Full Bathroom Rennovation

I just completed our bathroom renovation. The bathroom was in very rough shape and was original to the house from 1979. This project required a full gut job, electrical, plumbing, tile, cabinetry and a lot of finish work. I found a few surprises along the way including a liquid nailed drain part and a pan on the ceiling below to catch a leaking fitting.
- Before and After
- Original Bathroom
- Liquid Nailed Drain
- Drip Pan on the Ceiling below
- New subfloor
- Testing of the Bathtub
- Complete
All of the tiled surfaces were done with 12*24 porcelain tile and set on a waterproof red guard membrane. The tub is a kohler cast iron tub that took six friends to get into place. I build the vanity to look like a piece of furniture. The main cabinet is poplar, the drawers are dovetailed maple, the top is solid walnut with a vessel sink. It was a lot of work but now I don’t think I can wait to redo the master bath.
